Η έκδοση Τα τραγούδια του Ολοκαυτώματος των Ελλήνων Εβραίων παρουσιάζει για πρώτη φορά, σε έναν τόμο και ηχογραφημένα, τα τραγούδια που γράφτηκαν από τους Έλληνες Εβραίους κατά την διάρκεια του Ολοκαυτώματος.<br/>Το υλικό προέκυψε μετά από πολυετή έρευνα της Μαριάντζελας Χατζησταματίου μέσα από μαρτυρίες επιζώντων, μέσα από την βιβλιογραφία του Ολοκαυτώματος, καθώς και μέσα από το αρχείο της Ισραηλιτικής Κοινότητας Θεσσαλονίκης. Τα τραγούδια, ή μάλλον οι στίχοι τους, λειτουργούν σαν κάψουλες πληροφοριών που μέσα τους κλείνουν τον κόσμο όπως τον έβλεπαν οι άνθρωποι αυτοί στις πιο ζοφερές στιγμές της ύπαρξής τους. |

The publication Holocaust Songs of the Greek Jews presents for the first time, in one volume and recorded, the songs written by Greek Jews during the Holocaust. The material emerged after years of research by Mariangela Chatzistamatiou through the testimonies of survivors, the literature of the Holocaust, and the archives of the Jewish Community of Thessaloniki. The songs of the Holocaust, or rather, their lyrics, function as capsules of information that encapsulate the world as these people saw it in the bleakest moments of their existence.
